Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word consisting of two parts: "Rei" meaning "universal" and "Ki" meaning "life force"

Reiki is a non-invasive gentle natural healing therapy where the recipient remains fully clothed. The treatment is carried out without having to touch the body, but the practitioner gently rests their hands on the client’s body in various structured hand positions. The treatment involves the practitioner channeling natural energy to the recipient. There are many names for this Natural Energy – such as: Chi, Prana, or Bio-energy. Through the assistance of modern technology, more is being learned and understood about this Natural Energy and its role in a person’s health and well-being. It is observed to work on many levels ranging from, the physical, emotional and mental – by clearing negative energies and blockages and bring the body naturally back into balance. The recipient is often left feeling peaceful, recharged, and with a sense of security.

Reiki assists in reducing stress, thereby supporting and promoting a person’s body to heal on its own, naturally. For this reason, Reiki is found to be effective in supporting all medical treatments, by shortening the healing time, reduction of pain and stress, acting to reduce negative side effects, and assists in creating a sense of optimism and personal ‘inner strength’.

For this reason, Reiki is very beneficial as a complimentary therapy in assisting people suffering from (but not limited to), the following:

  • Cancer
  • Arthritis
  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Low immunity
  • Digestive issues
  • Sleep problems
  • Energy problems
